Civil Rights Historic Tours
Tuskegee University and the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center are located along the historical Alabama Civil Rights Trail. The City of Tuskegee offers interactive civil rights tours at The George Washington Carver Museum and Carver’s home, The Oaks. The University, which was founded by Booker T. Washington in 1881, has the largest special collection of archives on the Southern lynching. Not far from the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center are Moton Field and the National Tuskegee Airmen Museum.
The city of Tuskegee is rich in African-American history and culture. Plan a daytrip to travel the Alabama Civil Rights Trail from Selma to Birmingham.

Campus Tours for Prospective Students
Campus tours for prospective students are managed by the Office of Marketing and Communications and conducted by university students who are members of the University Escorts program. The University Escorts assist in promoting the positive image of Tuskegee University by hosting visitors, scheduling and providing campus tours, and helping prospective students and their families better understand the past, present and future contributions of the university.
Guided tours are offered to prospective students 9–11 a.m. and 1–3 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday (all Central Standard Time). Guided tours are offered only on these days and times, and are not offered during university holidays or final examination weeks. However, self-guided tours are welcome.
